WARBURTON BIKE HIRE FAQs

WHAT BIKES CAN I HIRE?

We offer e-bikes, standard rail-trail bikes, step-through/comfort bikes, kids bikes, tandem bikes, dual-suspension mountain bikes and dual-suspension e-MTBs.

Hire periods vary depending on the bike selected and include 2-hour, 4-hour and all-day options.

ARE HELMETS INCLUDED?

Yes. Helmets are included at no additional cost with every bike hire.

WHAT EXTRAS CAN I ADD?

Depending on availability, you can add a child seat, trailer, lock or gel seat cover during the booking process.

Select your bike and hire date first, and the available extras will then be displayed.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

Walk-ins are welcome at Cog Bikes & Brew, 42 Station Road, Warburton, during our opening hours.

However, we strongly recommend prebooking, particularly on weekends, public holidays and during school holidays, to ensure the right bike and size are available.

WHY DO YOU NEED EACH RIDER’S HEIGHT?

We use the height of each rider to allocate the most suitable bike size.

Please enter an accurate height for every rider included in your booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS POOR OR I NEED TO POSTPONE?

You may postpone your booking and receive a credit valid for six months, provided you contact us before 7am on the day of your hire.

Postponements made after 7am on the day of hire are not eligible for a future credit.

WHAT TIME DO BIKES NEED TO BE RETURNED?

Bikes must be returned within your selected hire period and no later than 4pm, unless another return time has been arranged with us.

CAN I HIRE A BIKE FOR MORE THAN ONE DAY?

Yes. Extended and multi-day hire may be available.

HOW DO I MAKE A GROUP BOOKING?

For groups of more than six riders, or to enquire about hiring on a day when we are normally closed, please call us on 8736-8152 or text on 0410 410 853.

We will do our best to accommodate your group.

WHAT IF MY PREFERRED DATE SHOWS AS UNAVAILABLE?

Please call us on 8736-8152 or text/whatsapp on 0410 410 853. The booking system may not show every available option, and we may still be able to assist.

WHERE DO I COLLECT MY BIKE IN WARBURTON?

Warburton bike hire is collected from Cog Bikes & Brew at 42 Station Road, Warburton, located directly beside the Warburton–Lilydale Rail Trail.

CAN I HIRE BIKES FROM OTHER LOCATIONS?

Yes. Prebooked bike hire is also available from selected locations along the Warburton–Lilydale Rail Trail:

• Carriage Café, Seville – book through our separate Seville booking page. No additional collection fee applies.

• Gracious Grace Café, Lilydale – select Lilydale as your pick-up/drop-off location when booking below.

• Trail Café, Mt Evelyn – select Mt Evelyn as your pick-up/drop-off location when booking below.

Advance booking (normally minumum 48 hours)  is required for locations outside Warburton.

An additional $20 fee per pick-up/drop-off applies to locations other than Warburton and Carriage Café, Seville.
